Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Who we are
These terms apply to every order placed on the Mereloft website. Mereloft is a trading name of SCALYTIX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17493259, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). They apply to you as a consumer buying for personal use ("you").
Contact: support@mereloft.com. Our full company details are on the Legal Notice page.
Please read these terms before you order. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Our products
Our products (2-in-1 duvets, pillows, bedding sets, mattress toppers and packs) are described on their product pages: sizes, materials and care. Our photos are as accurate as we can make them, but colours may look slightly different depending on your screen.
3. Prices
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include all taxes and import duties. There is nothing extra to pay on delivery. Delivery charges are shown before you confirm your order. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
For packs, the "was" price is the sum of the prices of the items in the pack when bought separately on our website at the same time.
If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch and you can either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
4. Placing an order
You choose your products and options, then check the order summary before you pay. Our contract with you is formed when your payment is confirmed. We then send you an order confirmation e-mail with a copy of these terms. Orders and these terms are in English.
5. Payment
Payment is taken when you order, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through our payment provider, Shopify Payments. Payments are encrypted. We never see or store your card details.
6. Delivery
- Where we deliver: mainland UK (England, Wales and mainland Scotland). We do not deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for the moment.
- When: we dispatch within 48 hours (working days), then delivery takes 8 to 12 working days, with tracking.
- Cost: free delivery on orders over £55. Otherwise, tracked delivery costs £6.99.
If your order arrives more than 7 days later than the delivery time above, you can cancel it by e-mail and we will refund you within 14 days. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are not delivered on time.
The goods are your responsibility once they are delivered to you (or to someone you have named to receive them). If a parcel arrives damaged, please tell the carrier, then e-mail us within 48 hours with photos so we can put it right quickly. This does not limit your legal rights in section 10.
7. Your right to cancel (14 days)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods (if your order arrives in several parcels, from the day you receive the last one). You can also cancel before your order is delivered.
To cancel, tell us clearly by e-mail at support@mereloft.com, or use the model cancellation form below. You do not have to use the form. To meet the deadline, you only need to send your message before the 14 days are up.
You do not need to send the product back. As we will not ask you to return it, there are no return costs for you. We refund the full price you paid, including the standard delivery charge, within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling. We refund you using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.
8. 60-night trial (our commercial guarantee)
On top of your right to cancel, you can try the duvet for 60 nights from delivery. If it is not right for you, e-mail support@mereloft.com with a photo of the duvet. You do not need to send it back: we refund the full price of the duvet within 14 days, and you can keep it or give it to a charity.
Conditions: one trial per household, and your request must reach us no later than the 60th night after delivery.
9. 2-year Peace of Mind guarantee (our commercial guarantee)
For 2 years from delivery, if your duvet loses its shape or loft, or develops a fault even though it has been cared for as shown on its care label, we will replace it free of charge. Just send us a photo: there is no need to return the product.
10. Your legal rights
The 60-night trial and the 2-year Peace of Mind guarantee are extra promises from us. They do not replace or affect your legal rights.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we sell you must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not:
- Up to 30 days after delivery, you can reject the goods and get a full refund (the short-term right to reject).
- After 30 days, you can ask for a repair or a replacement. If that is not possible, or it does not fix the problem, you can get a price reduction or reject the goods for a refund.
- If a fault appears within 6 months of delivery, it is presumed to have been there at delivery unless we prove otherwise.
- You may be able to claim for faulty goods for up to 6 years after delivery (5 years in Scotland).
For more information on your rights, contact Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk).
11. Customer service and complaints
E-mail us at support@mereloft.com. We reply in English within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
12. Resolving disputes
If you are not happy with how we have handled a complaint, please tell us so we can look at it again. We have not yet appointed an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, so we are not currently able to refer complaints to one. For free, independent advice, you can contact Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk, or Advice Direct Scotland in Scotland).
13. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
14. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
